Villa Tortuga was build in 2011. The villa has a modern style, combining easy living and high quality. The villa has a large kitchen, a laundry room and two 2p bedrooms with both their own spacious bathroom. On Bonaire people live outdoors, so the main living area is on the large L-shaped porch. The Villa also has a roof terrace for private sunbathing. Total (covered) living space is approx. 180m2.

But the main attraction of the house is the 240m2 sundeck, with gazebo and private pool (4x6x1,5m). There are many spots where you can relax, lounge or sunbathe. The villa has its own private boat dock from which you can fish or watch the pelicans dive for their breakfast.
The villa is equipped with al the household conveniences like: ice-maker fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, espresso maker, stove, etc. The bedrooms are equipped with state of art A/C systems and a ceiling fan. There is free wifi throughout the house and all rooms have TV and both 110/220V outlets.

The space is beautiful and location is super convenient. We loved the open air kitchen and living room. The pool was clean and beautiful- perfect to cool off in the heat. We loved sitting on the deck and watching the iguanas and pelicans. The neighborhood was quiet and very conveniently located to everything. Evert was a great host. He gave great advice on places to go and had stocked the fridge nicely with a few key things like milk, beer, bread, eggs, coffee and cold cuts. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a few meals. The roof deck was perfect for watching the sun set. I Would definitely stay here again.

Dit jaar hebben we voor de tweede keer in Villa Tortuga Bonaire onze voorjaarsvakantie doorgebracht. Het voelde als thuiskomen. Villa Tortuga is een heerlijk huis voor vier volwassen. Twee prachtige slaapkamers met elk een goed uitgeruste badkamer en een prima geoutilleerde keuken geven ruim comfort. Als de rolluiken open gaan, is binnen buiten geworden.
Om na een lange vlucht neer te kunnen strijken op de loungebank, buiten op de porch, uitkijkend over het water en het verlichte zwembad, is werkelijk iets om je op te verheugen. De eigenaar ontvangt je heel prettig en coulant. De gevulde ijskast draagt er toe bij dat je meteen kan ontspannen. Het huis ligt in een rustig wijkje. Hoewel het vliegveld dichtbij is, wordt daar totaal geen hinder van ervaren. Door de centrale ligging van het huis, is Bonaire makkelijk te verkennen, zowel een strand om te snorkelen als Kralendijk liggen op loopafstand.
Zouden we een derde keer naar Villa Tortuga gaan: zeker!! Kortom Villa Tortuga is een absolute aanrader.

The villa is much better in person. The views are extraordinarily and the villa is a hidden gem. It was clean and very tastefully decorated. Don’t be discouraged to stay at this villa due to its proximity to the airport, it’s actually a plus, we hardly heard planes. A definite must!!

Our Holiday to Villa Tortuga Bonaire was incredible. A warm welcome from Evert awaiting at the Airport, with full tour of the house, and with a full provisionning in the fridge for a late arrival. Many thanks for this. The house is very confortable, at the crossroads to beach, grocery stores and restaurants. We fully recommend and look forward to go back !

We have just returned from an amazing 3 week stay at Villa Tortuga Bonaire - the property is gorgeous and very spacious with everything you could have wanted. Evert took great pride in making sure the house was super clean and that everything was well cared for and you had everything you needed. The different spaces have been well thought out and work as whole - lovely quiet corners to sit, social spaces to lounge, chat and eat ... and our favourite spot for a sunset beer, on the bench on the private quay watching the pelicans dive for their supper. The pictures and description are very accurate. The bedrooms and en-suites are spacious and very comfortable with great air-conditioning, alternatively you can open the windows to let the lovely breeze blow through. The bedrooms are very clean and well maintained with more towels provided than you could ever get through in a week. Don't be put off by the villa's proximity to the airport, there are very few flights and it's really not intrusive (and we are very fussy about noise). You do need a vehicle, but that's true of anywhere you stay on Bonaire. As described the villa is tucked away in a small private gated development which is very quiet and very tidy. All in all - fantastic and, while expensive, worth every penny (or cent) - Evert was a great host and we will definitely be booking again for our next stay in Bonaire!!

Evert's place was perfect for our trip to Bonaire. Close to everything you could need and in a quiet residential community. The villa itself is beautiful, well equipped and has great views. Evert couldn't have been more helpful with regards to suggestions during our stay and answering any questions we had. We are already planning our return trip!
